About the Position
We are seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily operations within our production department. This role is responsible for overseeing production teams, ensuring safety and food quality standards are met, and maintaining efficient workflow on the production floor.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, prioritizes safety and quality, and enjoys supporting and developing production teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Promote and enforce a safety-first culture, ensuring associates follow all safety procedures and properly use required PPE.
Identify hazards and correct unsafe conditions immediately; maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free production areas.
Conduct safety training for new employees and reinforce safe work practices.
Complete accident and incident reports promptly and communicate events to management and the safety team.
Ensure all products meet company, customer, SQF, GMP, and food safety standards.
Verify packaging materials, code dates, weights, corrugate, and printed information prior to and during production; complete and co-sign First Articles with QA.
Perform and document routine production checks through ROCAnet, monitoring product quality, packaging integrity, oxygen levels, and labeling accuracy.
Ensure metal detectors and other Critical Control Points (CCPs) are functioning properly and follow procedures for deviations.
Initiate sanitation and allergen changeover procedures; inspect lines for cleanliness and foreign objects prior to production start.
Immediately report quality or food safety concerns, isolate affected product, and complete required documentation.
Review daily production schedules and work orders to ensure materials, packaging, and components are available before startup.
Assign crew members to production lines and communicate daily goals, priorities, and schedule changes.
Monitor production performance, troubleshoot operational issues, and adjust priorities to meet production targets.
Accurately record production output, labor tracking, and inventory adjustments.
Manage materials and inventory throughout the shift, including reconciliation and returns of unused components.
Coordinate equipment changeovers and shutdowns to ensure efficient transitions between production runs.
Supervise, train, and support production associates in safety, quality, and standard operating procedures.
Manage attendance and timekeeping while adjusting staffing to maintain line productivity.
Provide clear shift-handoff communication to incoming supervisors regarding production status, issues, and priorities.
Recognize employee contributions and address performance concerns through coaching and documentation.
Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Sanitation, Shipping, and Receiving to maintain efficient operations.
Submit and track maintenance requests to ensure timely repair of equipment issues.
Communicate production performance, challenges, and schedule adherence to management.
Maintain traceability documentation and component records to support audit and recall readiness.
Provide coverage for other supervisors when needed and assist on production lines during staffing shortages or operational needs.
Maintain compliance with all safety, food safety, and company policies.
Perform other duties as assigned to support production operations.
Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Transfer to temporary or project related work.
Maintain clean and hazard free work area.

Education:
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Related Experience:
Minimum 1 year of related production or supervisory experience.
Knowledge of production operations, food safety, and quality compliance.
Strong safety leadership and team management skills.
Problem-solving, decision-making, and communication abilities.
Experience with inventory and materials management.
Physical Demands:
