Maintenance Mechanic
Pay: $35.50/hr
Location: 110 E 26th Street, Tacoma, WA 98421
Position Location: 100% Onsite
Position Status: Full Time
FLSA Status: NON-EXEMPT
About the Position: Our maintenance mechanics perform a variety of tasks in order to ensure that all manufacturing machinery, equipment & facilities are operating properly.
Essential Functions:
Maintain, inspect, and install machinery.
Interpret and follow mechanical manuals related to industrial machinery.
Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with machinery.
Test new or refurbished equipment before fully operational.
Adjust and calibrate equipment for optimal use.
Use hand & power tools.
Adhere to food safety rules.
Required skills and responsibilities also include, but are not limited to the following:
Create documentation for equipment.
Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge and skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic computer skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
Climbing ladders, entering a small, confined space, bending, stooping, twisting, squatting, crouching, kneeling, crawling, lying down.
Lift, carry, push and pull equipment of various weights.
Reach, sit, walk, stand, balance, climb stairs, use lifts, and various other mobile equipment.
Qualifications:
3-6 years of related experience, preferred
High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
Competencies: Intermediate mathematic skills, Mechanical aptitude, Problem-solving skills, Attention to detail, and Ability to multi-task.
