About the Position
Brown & Haley is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team in Fife, Washington. In this role, you will serve as a key liaison between customers, sales, production, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure accurate order processing, exceptional customer support, and efficient order fulfillment.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service.
What You'll Do:
Customer Service & Order Management
Process customer orders from entry through invoicing and shipment.
Verify pricing, product availability, and promotional programs.
Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email with professionalism and urgency.
Resolve order issues and coordinate solutions with internal teams.
Support sales initiatives, sample requests, packaging updates, and inventory tracking.
Process return authorizations and maintain related records.
Ensure compliance with customer requirements, routing guides, and vendor specifications.
EDI & Systems Support
Manage Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions and daily monitoring.
Troubleshoot transmission issues and maintain accurate documentation.
Partner with IT and external vendors to onboard new EDI customers and support system enhancements.
Customer Complaint Resolution
Investigate and resolve customer complaints from start to finish.
Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Production, and Management teams to identify root causes and corrective actions.
Track complaint trends and provide reporting to support continuous improvement efforts.
What We're Looking For:
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Experience with ERP systems preferred.
EDI experience preferred.
Food manufacturing or related industry experience is a plus.
