Almond Roca Churro Bites with Mexican Chocolate Sauce
Ingredients
Ingredients (for the churro bites):
1 can refrigerated biscuit dough or churro dough
1/2 cup sugar
1 tbsp cinnamon
3-4 Almond Roca bars, crushed (for topping)
Mexican Chocolate Sauce:
1/2 cup heavy cream
4 oz dark chocolate, chopped
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for a little heat)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Filling
¼ cup butter
¾ cup confectioner’s sugar
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tbsp cream
2 tbsp crushed Almond ROCA
Directions
Churro Bites: Cut dough into small bite-sized pieces. Fry in oil (350°F) until golden brown and puffy (2-3 mins). Drain on paper towels.
While warm, toss bites in a cinnamon-sugar mix.
Sprinkle generously with crushed Almond Roca.
Chocolate Sauce: In a saucepan, heat cream until simmering. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate, cinnamon, cayenne, and vanilla. Whisk until smooth.
Serve warm churro bites with chocolate dipping sauce. Add extra crushed Almond Roca on top for crunch!
